Using Tradesman

Getting the Crew In

An invite code, a text, or an email. And you can assign work to someone before they've downloaded anything.

Getting the Crew In

Getting a crew onto new software is where most rollouts die. Keep the first step to one tap.

How it works

  1. Generate a team invite code, or send an invite by email, or fire off a text — the text opens your own messaging app with the invite drafted, so it lands from a number they know.
  2. They install the app, enter the code, and they're in.
  3. The members tab shows who's active; the invite codes tab shows what's outstanding.
  4. Keep an eye on the seat count — it shows how many of your plan's users you've used.

Don't wait for them

Create a pending employee record and you can assign jobs to that person before they've accepted. When they join, the work is already waiting for them.

The member detail screen

Open anyone and you get member-since, total hours, assigned jobs, recent time entries, pay information and your own notes. It's the screen you want open during a review, or when you're working out who to put on a big job next month.

You can remove or archive a member when someone leaves. Archiving keeps their history — hours, jobs, notes — which you'll want. The owner can't be removed.

Where you'll find it

Web at /dashboard/team, and Team in the mobile app.
