Payroll That Comes Straight From the Time Clock

Hours, overtime, rates, withholding and net pay per person for whatever period you select. No spreadsheet in the middle.

Payroll That Comes Straight From the Time Clock

The hours are already in the system. Retyping them into a spreadsheet is where the errors come from.

How it works

  1. Select the pay period you're paying for.
  2. Each technician shows hours worked, overtime hours, regular pay and overtime pay.
  3. Rates come from your business default unless a technician has their own — apprentices and leads rarely cost the same.
  4. Overtime uses your threshold and your multiplier. Set them once.
  5. Mark salaried or exempt people as not overtime-eligible so they don't accrue it.

It goes further than gross

The summary shows gross pay, total taxes and net pay, not just hours times a rate. Per person you can set a filing status and state rate, and it estimates federal withholding, state withholding and FICA against the current year's brackets and wage base, then applies any pre-tax and post-tax deductions you've recorded. There's a year-to-date view alongside the period.

Treat those as working numbers for cutting a cheque, not as a filing. This is not a payroll bureau and it does not file anything with anyone.

Because hours are attributed to jobs, the same data tells you what labor actually cost on a job, which is what makes the profitability numbers real.

Where you'll find it

Web at /dashboard/payroll, and Payroll in the mobile app, with a per-person breakdown on both.

The raw hours come out as a CSV from either the time clock screen or /dashboard/reports: date, employee, job, clock-in, clock-out, hours, notes and the clock-in and clock-out locations, over whatever date range you pick.
