Ask for the Google Review While They Still Like You
The thank-you email fires when you mark the job complete — with a review button in it, and a QR code on the invoice for everyone else.

The best moment to ask for a review is the hour after the hot water comes back. Nobody is ever standing there at that moment with a laptop.
How it works
- Switch on the thank-you email in your marketing settings and edit the wording so it sounds like you.
- Turn on the review ask, and write your own wording for it if the default doesn't fit.
- Add your Google Place ID in business settings. This is the step people skip: without it the thank-you email still goes out, but the review button is quietly left off it, so you get the goodwill and none of the reviews.
- Mark a job complete. The email sends itself, once per job — completing a job twice won't email the customer twice.
The one on the invoice
Setting the Place ID also generates a review QR code, and that code is printed on the invoice PDF. A customer settling up on paper gets the same one-tap route to your Google listing as one reading the email.
Why it works
Reviews decide who gets called first in this trade. A steady drip of them from every completed job beats an occasional push where you beg ten customers at once.
