Turn a Finished Job Into an Invoice

The job already knows the customer, the address and the work. Invoicing shouldn't mean typing it all again.

Turn a Finished Job Into an Invoice

Invoices sent the same day get paid faster than invoices sent on Sunday night. The trick is making it take under a minute.

How it works

  1. Open the finished job and create an invoice from it — the customer and the work come with it. Or start one from scratch.
  2. Adjust the line items if the work changed on site. It usually did.
  3. Set the invoice number if you keep your own sequence.
  4. Send it. Resend it later if it goes quiet.
  5. Mark it paid when the money lands, or let an online payment do that for you.

Every invoice carries a status — draft, sent, paid, or overdue once its due date passes — and the list filters by each one. Above the list sits a running total of everything outstanding, which is sent and overdue added together, so "who owes me" is one glance rather than a tally.

Where you'll find it

Web at /dashboard/invoices, and Invoices in the mobile app. Both can create, send and mark paid.
